<description>This is a logo I created for a B-Side Empire collaborative film project working alongside the BFI and BFI IMAX. The event is a casual film night and meet and greet, for students to showcase their films.

The logo is based around cinema/theatre tickets with a 3D twist, using the colours of the traditional 3D glasses and applying the affect to the type.

<description>Break Your Socks set a brief for Halloween to produce something creative based around the phrase 'Trick or Treat', without any limits on what you could produce.

For my entry I decided to stay away from the usual clichè images associated with Halloween and trick or treat like pumpkins and full moons which have no relevance to nor trick or treat. Instead I've gone with an illustration of something more real and common in life. One single thing that can be defined both as a trick AND a treat... a prostitute.

The treat is quite obvious... sex.
But the trick lies in the fact that there is a high risk of catching an STD from having sex with a prostitute.

I've made this more clear in my illustration by giving the nice lady a tattoo that says 'STD' on her lower back. I've also kept the Halloween vibe there by sticking with the traditional orange and black colour scheme.

<description>For my unconventional re-design of Flatterland I created a series of A1 posters that were put together to complete a chapter of the book. Each chapter was made up of 6 posters that would be delivered one a day, Monday–Saturday, over the course of 18 weeks until all the chapters had been delivered.

The chapter I chose to design was chapter 6: Cat Country, where I based my design around a defining quote within the opening paragraph of that chapter:

‘Cat Country is so complicated even scientists find it
difficult to understand what goes on.’

With that in mind I decided to manipulate the chapter, making it difficult to read and understand.

I also designed chapter 18: The Tenth Dimension to show how the smaller chapters with less type can work on such a big scale.

<description>I designed this series of posters as part of a YCN brief to promote The Feel Good Drinks Co's fruit juices. I wanted my posters to make people laugh which in turn makes them feel good, so humour was the key in this campaign that hints at the difference between what is natural and what is not.

<description>This map shows the world-wide success of The Beatles. Each individual record on the map represents a number one hit, and the different coloured records represent different countries e.g. 22 light blue records means The Beatles had 22 different number one records in Sweden.

The opacity of the records on the map is determined by the length of time (in weeks) The Beatles were at number one for in that country. Meaning, the stronger the opacity, the longer The Beatles spent at number one. It’s the same rule for records of a weakened opacity. The weaker it is, the less time The Beatles spent at number one in that country.

All of this information is stored in a key provided on the poster.
